Legal

Buying advice
We recommend that you only release funds to the seller when you have satisfied
yourself that the goods are as advertised on the listing. In the case of higher
value goods in particular it is obviously good practice to view the goods and
meet the seller in person prior to handing over any payment. When purchasing
from a business you have the option of researching their website, verifying
companies house details etc to satisfy yourself of their credentials. Be aware,
particularly with private sellers, that you will have little or no legal
comeback once payment has been made.
Unfortunately, we are unable to interfere in the private transactions between a
buyer and a seller. Neither are we able to offer legal advice. However, if you
can provide us with a letter of complaint, we will keep this on permanent file
under the advertiser's records.
You may wish to contact your local 'Citizens Advice Bureau", who will be able
to advise you on the best course of action to take. The number for your local
office can be found in the 'phone book.
Be careful when meeting sellers at their home. For personal ease and safety
always ensure that there is a friend with you when visiting sellers at home.
-
Selling advice
We recommend that you make sure that full payment is received before you
release any goods. When taking a cheque as payment we recommend that funds are
cleared before you release the goods. If this is not possible we recommend that
you at least obtain some other proof/s of identity from the buyer.
Be careful when meeting buyers at home. For personal ease and safety always
ensure that there is a friend with you when buyers visit you at home.
-
Stolen Goods
In order to sell items on architrader users must agree to two anti-theft
conditions as laid down in the Salvo

advertised on architrader.com please contact us as well as your local police
authority. You might also like to go to www.theft-alerts.com,
